Regain Control of Your Life
St. Joseph's Partial Hospital Program is approximately a two week, full day program. Patients attend 9:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday and alternate Saturdays.
The Partial Hospital Program is designed for those individuals who do not require an inpatient program, but need comprehensive treatment for their mental or emotional problems. This program is also available to patients, leaving our inpatient facility, who wish to continue skill development and prevent readmission. These individuals might include those patients who have sufficiently stabilized a crisis in their lives and have the support and living arrangements that will allow them to continue working on their problems without the structure of an inpatient program.
Partial hospitalization offers adults all of the features of inpatient care without the overnight hospital stay. We provide skilled professional care supervision by a psychiatrist. Partial hospitalization can be a useful alternative to inpatient treatment. The acute Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at St. Joseph’s Behavioral Health center uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as its theoretical framework. The PHP provides intensive, goal-oriented short-term treatment.
Through treatment in our Partial Hospitalization Program, patients learn how to identify and change distorted thinking, communicate effectively in relationships and regain control of their lives.
Treatment consists of:
- Individual treatment Planning
- Psychiatric Assessments and Medication Management
- Individual Therapy as needed
- Process Group Therapy and Peer Support
- Dual Diagnosis Group Therapy (psychiatric and substance abuse)
- Adult Education and Life Skills
- Family Therapy
- Discharge Planning
- Community Referrals
