Adult Inpatient Program


Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a systematic cognitive behavioral approach that is beneficial in the treatment of many mental health disorders including, but not limited to, mood disorders, substance abuse and personality disorders. Patients participating in DBT undergo intensive psychotherapeutic interventions based upon the Linehan skills training program.

This program includes:

  • Core Mindfulness - Observing and describing in a nonjudgmental way to increase awareness and decrease suffering
  • Distress Tolerance - Distracting, self-soothing and improving the moment
  • Emotion Regulation - Emotions and
  • Communication Interpersonal Effectiveness - Obtaining changes one wants, maintaining the relationship and maintaining respect
