Visitors are welcome and encouraged, as they can be a patient's best medicine. However, in the interest of a patient's rest and well-being, there are times when visitors may need to be limited.
Daily visiting hours are:
Monday - Friday: 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday: 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Visiting hours are limited to promote treatment. If family or friends are unable to visit during regular visiting hours, special arrangements may be made with approval of the Charge Nurse. Additional hours may be arranged by the Charge Nurse to accommodate specific needs i.e., patient's physician, attorneys, clery, etc.
Effective June 1, 2010, we have a revised standard visitor access policy. The revised visitor guidelines are very similar to the policy we have had in place for the past several months. In collaboration with the other area hospitals, children under the age of 16 will not be allowed to visit patient care areas. Children not permitted to visit may wait with an adult in the lobby waiting room.
Patients have the right to accept or decline visitors. For children under 16, please contact the Charge Nurse prior to visitation. All visitors must check in at the reception desk. Visitors whose names do not appear on the patients' consent form will be denied patient information & visitation per state & federal confidentiality laws. All visitors are asked to sign a confidentiality statement before seeing a patient. All packages and personal items will be inspected for safety before entering patient areas. Flowers and plants must be in plastic containers and latex balloons are not permitted. Visitors wishing to dine with the patient may purchase a meal ticket at the reception desk.
